Mission Statement

To award financial assistance and to encourage and support graduates of Postville Community Schools who wish to pursue higher education.

History

The class of 1992 was the first year the Postville District Dollars for Scholars® awarded scholarships to the graduating seniors.  We've grown from a basic award of $250 to current basic award of $400 for every qualified applicant.  Our goal is to increase this basic award to $500.

Postville District Dollars for Scholars was the recipient of the 2011 Governor's Volunteer Award from the state of Iowa.  Governor Terry Branstad is shown in the photo presenting the award to chapter president David Koopman who is surrounded by other board members.
